"Not-So-Spooky" Haunted Trail at Matthews Playhouse
- When: Friday, Oct. 24 – Sunday, Oct. 26 (5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
- This is the perfect first "haunted" experience. Walk a gentle, daytime trail where friendly characters and fun scenes replace the scares. It’s all the fun of a seasonal walk without any of the frights.

- Parent Tip: The paved path is great for strollers, but it can get busy. Arrive early to enjoy a less crowded walk. Parking is free at the community center.

8th Annual Candy Crawl at Camp North End

- Explore Camp North End and get all your treats from 30+ participating vendors!

- Parent Tip: If crowds feel intense, take a breather at the outdoor seating by the water tower or the murals along Keswick Ave—great for photos without lines

Halloween Fun at SEA LIFE Charlotte-Concord
- When: October 25 and 26 (11am - 2pm
- Meet a real pirate and snap a photo with this swashbuckling visitor from the high seas! Little buccaneers can enjoy a pirate craft, Super Explorer trick-or-treating (while supplies last), and a costume contest on October 25 — so come dressed to impress!

- Parent tip: Make it a full outing at Concord Mills. Before or after the aquarium, swing by the LEGO Store or Build-a-Bear, Bass Pro Shops for the giant fish tank and indoor waterfall, and Round1 Bowling & Amusement for arcade breaks.

21st Annual Great Elizabeth Pumpkin Wall Lighting
- When: Sunday, October 26 at 6:45pm

The Great Elizabeth Pumpkin Wall will be at 2017 Greenway Avenue. Elizabeth residents will carve the pumpkins, and the ceremonial Pumpkin Wall lighting will be held at 6:45pm. Everyone is welcome to add a carved pumpkin to the wall!

- Parent Tip: This is a very popular event, so get there early! If you want to avoid the crowds, feel free to visit after the lighting ceremony - the wall will be lit each night at dusk through Halloween.

Halloween Baby Storytime

Join the North County Regional Library for a special Halloween themed storytime! Babies experience brain stimulation through language and socialization. Engage your little one with new sights and sounds through books, songs, and rhymes.
- Ages: Best for babies through age 2.
- Parent Tip: Arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in; popular sessions may cap capacity. The library is stroller-friendly, and it's a lovely chance to meet other local parents.

ImaginOn Fall Festival

Festivities will begin with a seasonal Family Storytime at 10:30, followed by trick-or-treat, game and craft stations around ImaginOn until noon. We will also have a sensory-friendly celebration space, complete with activities and treats, set up in The Round. Family-friendly costumes are encouraged.

- Parent Tip: Do storytime first, then rotate through trick-or-treat, games, and crafts to avoid bottlenecks. The first 90 minutes of parking are free with a validated ticket inside the library!
