When my son Jamie was born, I quickly realized how hard it was to find local activities that were truly geared toward babies and toddlers - places where we could both connect, explore, and feel part of a community. I’d spend hours scrolling event listings or parenting groups, trying to find something simple: a park with shade, a music class that wasn’t full, a coffee shop where strollers actually fit through the door.
Out of that frustration (and a lot of nap-time Googling), The Charlotte Sprout was born.
This newsletter is my way of gathering all the great things happening around the Queen City for families with young kids and sharing them in one easy, friendly place. Each week, I highlight local events, kid-friendly restaurants, parks and playgrounds, plus short insights from other parents and educators in our community.
But more than that, I hope The Charlotte Sprout becomes a way for parents to feel connected, to see what’s out there, meet new families, and feel reminded that we’re all figuring this out together.
